                                  Building and Placement Tips
                                  • Your propane tank can be located no closer that 10 feet from any building, any source of ignition and any property line.
                                  • Our trucks have 110 feet of delivery hose, so the placement of your tank must be located where we can reach it without getting off the main roads around your home.
                                  • The trench for your gas line must be 12 inches deep.
                                  • The hole size for a 1000 gallon underground tank is 66" deep, 5' wide and 18' long.
                                  • The hole size for a 500 gallon underground tank is 63" deep, 5' wide and 11' long.
                                  • The hole size for a 250 gallon underground tank is 58" deep, 4' wide and 9' long.
                                  • The hole must be accessible from a long side in order to install the tank.

                                  Tank Leasing Information
                                  • You must have at least three propane appliances (one of which must be central heating unit) to lease a tank.
                                  • The first year's lease amount (excluding sales tax) will apply to the purchase price of the tank at any time in which you decide to purchase it. If you lease your tank from Hill Country Propane, you are required to purchase your propane from Hill Country Propane.
                                  • If you are a call in customer and you let your tank run out of gas, this will result in a $75 Pressure Check charge.
